Puahaere, a founding director, has transitioned into a silent partner role, continuing to support our kaupapa as-needed. Puahaere’s vision and leadership were instrumental in shaping our foundations, and her ongoing guidance ensures we remain true to our values and aspirations. Though no longer in an active role, Puahaere’s unwavering commitment to uplifting iwi and hapū continues to inspire our mahi and the impact we strive to achieve.

Rahera is a Junior Environmental Planner at Iarau and a third-year Bachelor of Environmental Planning student. Educated at Te Kura o Ngāpuke, she attributes her passion for Te Ao Māori and the taiao to her upbringing. Rahera aspires to empower mana whenua in environmental planning and hopes to inspire more rangatahi Māori to join the field, ensuring te ao Māori voices shape decisions about the environment.

Raised in Tūrangi, she brings experience in consent preparation, spatial planning, and iwi engagement from her time at a major consultancy. Outside work, she enjoys reading, horse riding, and studying te reo.
